Optional, ungraded notebooks to work through — on your own or in a group — during the Q&A sessions, while I am meeting students one at a time. Nothing here is submitted and nothing is graded. Each one opens in Google Colab in your browser; no software to install, and no Google account needed to read it. One is posted for each Q&A session.
- Activity 0: Symmetry Groups and Cayley Graphs — ▶ Open in Colab — Cayley tables, the group axioms checked by machine in ℤₙ and Dₙ, and the Cayley graph of a group drawn from its generators. Use Runtime → Run all first, then start changing things. The link to the left downloads the raw notebook if you would rather run it yourself.
